.
Synopsis: The sudden and unexpected attack on someone with close ties to Fringe Division, the return of bioterrorist David Robert Jones (guest star Jared Harris) and the inexplicable disappearance of Walter set the stage for a non-stop, nail-biting season finale of FRINGE. Questions will be answered, observations made, loyalties tested and truths and identities revealed.
.
Leonard Nimoy hops on board as William Bell. Olivia is gonna find herself in an odd position, she’s been searching for him, looking for answers as to what experiments he may have done on her [as a child], but suddenly, she’s going to have to protect Bell from a familiar foe.
.
The Observer will play a major role in unraveling Walter’s past; someone will take a bullet; and the perpetually at-odds Bishop boys may finally find common ground amid the scientific scariness going on around them. Peter needs to help Walter uncover a mystery that may involve the very beginning of the Pattern
.
Tidbits: This is the Observer’s third speaking appearance.
Fringe Fumbles:

Walter:My Thoughts:
.
My Thoughts: I watched this episode with a sad heart, knowing it was the last of the season. But heavy heart or not, you can’t help but say ‘OH MY GOD’ when you see Walter standing over the tombstone of Peter Bishop, who has apparently died at the young age of seven.
.
This show has the abilty to keep you hooked. They wrap up one mystery, and start another. Just when you think you have things figured out…BAM!
.
It’s going to be a long summer!

I’m wondering if maybe the observer is an avatar for William Bell. A remote controlled android.
“It was Belly all along. He always knew how to prod the deepest thoughts from my brane.”

Possible, but how do you explain the boy? He checked out as human or close enough.

personally I thought that it was a very predictable episode. It was hinted at that Peter had died, in a previous episode(not sure which one) and that the observer saved him some how. I sort of assumed that it meant he was replaced or revived mysteriously. Otherwise why did Walter go to all that trouble to try to create that tellaporter? He wasn’t trying to find someone to save Peter, he was trying to find the other Peter.
Maybe this other Peter really has abilities that the little observer possessed?(making people feel calmer etc.) Maybe Peter started out like that and evolved into what he is now? Like the littler observer is a template, a blank slate and the only thing he really has to start with is this empathetic power?
On another note, I love Charlie’s hat, totally rockin’ the cap.
Again on another topic completely, I know how you like the color patterns, what if they represent the alphabet some how? like if you see a red a blue and a yellow that equals a number that corresponds with a letter? It’s a much more complex code than the commercial pictures. Just a thought.

D’Oh! The mini-o. You’re right.
Sometimes I take the shotgun approach to predictions and hope the spread helps.

I need to ask. When Olivia was in the lift. She slipped into a reality where there were a lot of people in the lift then she was alone in the lift again. Doesn’t that hint at more than two realities? I mean I get that she moved location at well as reality but I was confused about that.

Yes, maybe one for world, and a second for location?

In the preview of season 2 (about 23 seconds in) is there a shot of a dead observer in some kind of body bag?
May 15th, 2009 at 10:14 pm
where is that?! they just have the stand-alone episode for that season filmed so far, where did you see a whole preview?!

2 different type of fireman uniforms….. wonder what that is all about. Also, there is no level 13 on the elevator Olivia is in.
May 16th, 2009 at 4:55 am
skipping level 13 was an old common usage on elevators, they say it was to avoid the bad luck of the 13th. the wtc was very old and although i can’t remember exactly [and considering there were many elevators inside that took you on different set of floors], its probably due to that. there are many buildings were you can still see that.

Its very common not to have a 13th floor. They just skip straight to 14 because 13 is considered unlucky.
This has actually lead to tragic bungee jumping accidents… Remember folks get the exact measurements before bungee jumping off a building!

@quinky: I don’t think that the dead guy in the body bag is an Observer. He is wearing a plaid shirt. Here’s the pic…

During Peter and Walter’s conversation at the beach house (after they found the patch), they are discussing parallel dimension theory and Walter says, “But the question of course was… (looking at notebook, reconsidering what he was about to say, then hurriedly saying)… how to get there without LSD.” This seems like another important odd moment. Can anyone see what the notebook says?

@ Mic: The notepad has what looks like a drawing of some kind. I can’t tell what it’s supposed to be. Good eye though. Here is the pic…

I can’t tell either. *sigh* It’s going to be a long summer…

The dead guy in the body bag looks like the same guy that kidnapped and tortured Peter while trying to capture the beacon.
