What did we miss?
- I had mentioned in “Looking Back at 104 - The Arrival” that Olivia’s apartment had changed at some point. I have been keeping my eyes open and it appears that this is the first episode with the new apartment set. The outside is the same, it is only the inside that has changed.
- For anyone who is up to date with my red-yellow-blue theory and the revelation that the tape roll holder has been spotted in several episodes, here it is again this week…in Loeb’s warehouse.

What theories were overlooked?
- This is part of “What did we miss” as well as “What theories were overlooked”. In Broyles’ office you can see a map on his computer screen. There are two cities circled…Munich, Germany and Budapest, Hungary. This is not the first time that these places have been mentioned. Is it possible that Broyles is aware of Jones breaking out of prison and this is part of the manhunt or is there something else going on here? Are they trying to track ZFT? Was Broyles aware of Loeb’s involvement and was watching his movements?

How have the characters developed?
- Olivia really kicks some serious ass in this episdode. First she beats up several men at the warehouse in order to escape, then she gets into a all out girl on girl fight with Samantha Loeb, then she pays Loeb with a pistol-whip smackdown. I love it! Go Olivia! Show these men what you’re made of.
- There was quite a lot of insuation of Peter’s affections for Olivia in this episode. I remember thinking at the time that I hope they don’t intend on hooking the two of them up. Thank goodness they haven’t done that so far. It has never worked in the past.
- This week, Broyles has come to Olivia’s defense. Dude…make up your mind!

What questions were never answered?
- In the episode Walter tells the others that the slug is a supersized virus, but in his labnotes he admits that it is not a virus but in fact a human cell from the wall of the intestinal tract. Why did he lie to the team?
- What is it that Rachel is not telling Olivia?
- The true intentions of ZFT. Who are the two sides (ZFT & MD)? What are the rules? What did they want with Olivia…reeaallly?
- When this episode first aired, I predicted that the men seen on the computer screen would appear in a later episode, but we have never seen them. Who are they? They must be part of the pattern or we wouldn’t see them in the Fringe Division office…and more than once. Just filler, perhaps? Is it related to the map on Broyles computer screen?

I apologize for being late with this post. I’m sorry to say that I have no good excuse. I was at my cottage and the weather was so friggin’ outstanding that I decided to stay a couple of days longer. I know…rough life. So let’s get on with it, shall we.

What did we miss?

- After watching this episode with a closer eye, I realize that it is one of my least favorite episodes as far as layers go. There just doesn’t seem to be much going on this week. Aside from the ‘mystery’ of John, there are no real breakthroughs or blow-me-away moments. I discovered no new theories and I uncovered no mysteries. All in all, kind of a snoozer. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

How have the characters developed?

- This week my eyes were mostly on Walter. This seems to be his pivot episode, he is all over the place with his actions. One minute he’s totally lucid and the next he’s crazy Walter again. He is aware of the fact that he can be quite obsessive, yet he forgets that he didn’t explain anything to Olivia. He forgets that the coffee yogurt was him, yet he’s aware enough to refuse to put Olivia back in the tank.
- I also want to touch on Broyles in this episode. His personality seems to jump around quite a bit on this show. In this episode he seems to be on the team of M.D. He comes to Massive Dynamic and Nina’s defense and bites Olivia’s head off when she accuses Massive Dynamic of being involved in George’s death.

What questions were never answered?

- Who is Dr. Peretti? What was the ‘W’ for? There was a tombstone with Casey Peretti on it. Are they related? Is this a family or character that we have yet to meet?
- Who is the North Woods Group? Another bad guy group? Will we come across them in season 2?
- Walter said that he was once a religious man, but not anymore. What happened to cause the change in his feelings on this matter?
- Once again, the question of who is after Peter, has come up. At the end we see Michael reporting to someone that Peter is in Boston. Who is that someone? Could he be ‘Big Eddie’?
- It might be just me, maybe I’m not getting it, but why was the hallucination that killed George Moralis…John Scott? It seemed that George knew and trusted John, and believed that Massive Dynamic killed Mark Young. Why would Massive Dynamic (if it was them) use the image of John to kill him? Irony? Convenience?

What tie was Broyles wearing?

- There is a tie missing in this episode. The night scenes at the beginning…we don’t see Broyles until the next day.

What did we miss?
- I think that I will beat a dead horse today. Remember the yellow-red-blue theory? Remember how I based the entire theory on that tape roll holder with the colored rolls of tape? And remember when I discarded the theory when I discovered that the tape roll holder was in Episode 2? Well, I am here to re-hash it. This week, as Walter talks about the blinking lights he states that when he had experimented with it many years ago, that he had concentrated on the timing and intensity of the flashes not the colors, and that he now feels that the colors are the key. When they pan down to the lights all lined up…you’ll never guess what is right behind it…the tape roll with the colored tape. Coincidence? Perhaps. But I think that I will hold on to my red-yellow-blue theory just a little longer.

Posting about the comics is something I have been wanting to do for sometime now, but I was unable to get my hands on all of the issues. Many thanks goes out to our very own Bradbury for contributing the scans of the comics and his observations and theories about them.

Has anyone read all of the Fringe comics and has lots of theories and opinions?

This is a call for help to anyone who might be interested in writing some posts about the Fringe Comic Books. I would like the posts to include a short synopsis, any correlations to the show, any differences or inconsistencies with the show and of course any theories about the storylines that you have.
I would like one every week to week and a half so that we can fit them all in by the end of the summer. I will give you complete credit and I can even get a hold of some scans of some of the pages to add to your posts. All you would have to do is e-mail me your post, I will check for spelling and grammar errors, add the pics and post it for you.
I would really appreciate any help that you can give me on this, as many people are asking about the Comics, and I would love to be able to fill this gap in my Fringe Blog site.

What did we miss?

- People have speculated that there are many other companies or bad guy groups out there, other than ZFT, Intrepus and Massive Dynamic. I never put it together before, but Broyles says “What we’ve learned so far is the following: There are cells – we don’t know how many. Privately funded with presence in eighty-three recorded countries. Z.F.T. is among them.” I suppose this would be confirmation that we might yet meet more of these ‘cells’.
