What did we miss?

.

- People have speculated that there are many other companies or bad guy groups out there, other than ZFT, Intrepus and Massive Dynamic.  I never put it together before, but Broyles says “What we’ve learned so far is the following: There are cells – we don’t know how many. Privately funded with presence in eighty-three recorded countries. Z.F.T. is among them.”  I suppose this would be confirmation that we might yet meet more of these ‘cells’.

What did we miss?

- David Esterbrook’s assistant was named Elizabeth Sarnoff.  That is the name of one of the writers from ‘LOST’.  Just a tidbit for anyone who is a fan of all of J.J.’s work.

What theories were overlooked?

.

- Broyles said that Fischer conducted the experiments on seven others and that they had them all in custody.  Was it one of them who crashed the train 9 months ago?  It couldn’t have been Joseph, he said he joined the experiment only a few months ago.  Was there someone else, possibly from another experiment?  Now that we have ZFT, is it possible they also were running similar experiments?  Maybe.

.

- This theory wasn’t overlooked, but I would like to bring it up again, in case during later ‘Looking Back’ posts, we run into some more evidence.  Walter says to Peter: ” You cannot imagine what it’s like For a man like me To not have access to parts of his mind.”  And then later in the episode, he knew that Olivia has seen John.  Was Walter in the tank with someone at some point?  He has definitely gone through something, as is evident in later episodes, but what?  And if he has been linked to someone…who?

.

- Also, during that conversation with Peter, Walter also says: “Oh, I had trouble sleeping myself. I was thinking about that man. The one who tortured you. Something about him. So familiar. Peter, when I was in St. Claire’s…”.  Did he know John Mosely?  John seemed to know Robert Bishop, so it would be possible for him to know Walter as well.  Did they meet at St. Claires?  It seemed like that was going to be Walter’s next sentence.  Was John Mosely involved with experimenting on Walter, along with Sumner?

.

How have the characters developed?

.

- I enjoyed the general feeling that the characters gave during this episode.  Everyone seemed to be in good spirits.  Humor was displayed by all, with smiles on everyone’s faces, even Olivia.  I found that this made it a very feel-good episode.

.

What questions were never answered?

.

- We know WHAT Dr. Fischer did to Joeseph and seven others, but WHY did he do it?  What was the purpose of the experiment?  What was the end game?

.

- John Scott says “I was not the one who betrayed you” to Olivia.  So, who did betray Olivia?  Broyles, Nina?

.

- When Olivia told Dr. Fischer to put up his hands, he put them up palms in, instead of palms out like a normal person would do.  Was it deliberate?  Will we be seeing him again?

.

What tie was Broyles wearing?

.

Two ties

What did we miss?

.

- This isn’t plot related, but I did notice something strange about Olivia’s apartment.  At some point it changed.  In the four episodes that I have re-watched so far, her apartment looks like the images on the left and in later episodes it looks like the images on the right.  Clearly it is not the same set.  At first I thought maybe she moved to be closer to her office, but the view from the outside is the same and there’s never any mention of her moving.  I will keep my eyes open this summer and try to pinpoint the exact episode in which the change is made.

Jun 11, 2009 Posted in Fringe - 103 The Ghost Network by Scully

Delay on ‘Looking back at 103″

So, yesterday, I was rewatching “The Ghost Network” taking my notes and preparing my post for “Looking back at 103″, when I realized for the first time that my episode is over 10 minutes shorter than a standard episode. So I open the transcript and start reading it, and that’s when I realize that my copy is missing an entire act.  Act II from the transcript - Roy McComb in Custody, Nina’s office at Massive Dynamic, the briefing room…all of it…missing!!

.

Anyways, I feel I must watch the episode in it’s entirety before I can accurately write this post, so I will need a few days to get to my parents house and borrow their copy.

.

I apologize about this, but I will try to get this done as soon as I can.  Thanks for your patience.

What did we miss?

- A while back, I started on a red, yellow, blue color kick.  It all started with a closeup of a taperoll holder.  Well here it is, way back in episode 2.  Turns out, it has been in the lab all along…

Jun 1, 2009 Posted in Fringe - 101 Pilot by Scully

Looking back at 101 - “Pilot”

I think of all the episodes, I have watched the Pilot the most.  So there wasn’t as many things to post about it as I thought there would be.  Here are some things that I did notice about 101 - “Pilot”.

.

"Pilot"

"Pilot"

.

What did we miss?

.

- I think the biggest thing that I noticed in the Pilot was the odd blinking lamp above John and Olivia’s head while they looked in the dumpster.  Then we see it again, after the explosion, as Olivia lays on the ground. The reason I think it might be important is that there seems to be a pattern in the blinking.  Is it perhaps Morse Code?  Can anyone confirm this?  Here is the video clip…
