FOX renews Fringe for Season 2

I thought I would give everyone the great news before we settle in for a new episode of Fringe tonight…

FOX OFFICIALLY RENEWS ‘FRINGE’ FOR SEASON 2

One of the few break-out hits this year, the show is becoming Fox’s first break-out sci-fi hit since THE X-FILES

.

THE SKINNY: This is the kind of news we like to hear when we wake up in the morning - Fox’s science-fiction hit FRINGE has been given an official green light for Season Two.

“FRINGE proved to be a notable addition to our schedule all season and it really has fans buzzing as it builds to a fantastic season finale,” says Kevin Reilly, President, Entertainment for Fox Broadcasting Company.. “J.J. and the whole Bad Robot team have been phenomenal partners, and we look forward to years of making great television with them.”

As for J.J. Abrams, co-creator and executive producer of the show (and director of this Friday’s theatrical reboot of STAR TREK adds, “FRINGE continues to gain momentum, creatively and with viewers. We couldn’t be more thrilled that FRINGE will continue to freak people out for at least another season!”

    this is awesome. and a full season. none of that 13 episode crap, i hate that. you just start getting involved and its over.

    OMG, I did not see Wash being Alpha until 1/2 a second before he cut Victor. Only Whedon can surprise me like that.

    lalalalala…spoiler warning please…I’m two weeks behind on Dollhouse. Now that it’s done…is Victor dead? Wait, I don’t want to know.

    Holy posts. I go out of town for a week and look what I miss. It’s going to take me hours to read all this, and there’s no time as Fringe is on in 1.5 hrs.
